Butterfly Garden
The Butterfly Garden Project aims to support the breeding and conservation of butterflies by planting and nurturing larval host plants that provide essential food sources for butterfly caterpillars. The project creates a suitable habitat for butterflies, thereby promoting biodiversity and ecological balance.
The project was implemented at Shasthanagar in Ward 4 of Akathethara Grama Panchayat through the joint efforts of JCI Olavakkode, the Biodiversity Management Committee, Akathethara. Through this initiative, a conducive environment has been created for butterflies to thrive, contributing to the conservation of local biodiversity.
